A brand, design and digital agency with a strong portfolio in the automotive sector, other sectors include construction, telecommunications, retail, leisure and finance. Who are looking for a talented web developer to work on bespoke web application development for blue chip clients. Sites include, asset libraries, stock management, personalised literature generation and general ordering systems.
You will need a minimum of 2 year's commercial experience and proficiency with ASP.Net 1.1/2.0/3.5 (Classic ASP also an advantage), C#, and SQL server 2000/5/8. You must have a good understanding of W3C standards (XHTML Transitional/Strict compliance), SEO optimization and cross browser compatibility techniques.
You MUST also be able to:
" Understand object oriented programming techniques
" Be able to use Visual Studio effectively without the use of Design Mode
" Use stored procedures and views correctly
" Be able to trace and debug a code quickly and effectively
" Use FTP & RDP clients
" Write, include and use ASP.NET Web User Controls
" Be able to use ADO.NET and Databound Controls programmatically
" Be able to write and modify (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript (Use of jQuery advantageous)
" Be able to write, modify and optimise T-SQL queries to run efficiently
" Be able to script database changes (Schema or Data) for rollout onto staging and production environments
" Understand the need for and be able to implement primary and foreign keys to ensure data integrity
Knowledge of AJAX Controls, Web Services Design and Implementation, IIS, DNS, Windows Services and MSMQ would be an advantage.
