J2EE Developer 2 month minimum contract. Ref: WD10


A talented contract J2EE Developer to work on a range of web based products and tools. To be considered for the role, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years commercial Java/J2EE Experience in full software development life-cycle and demonstrate strong logical/problem solving skills.

The key J2EE Developer we are seeking will have an excellent technical background in Java, J2EE, SQL, Struts, XML and Tomcat. Experience in web development utilising CSS, HTML and JavaScript is also key.

Key Technical Skills required:

Essential
* Minimum 5 years Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets)
* Minimum 5 years experience developing and maintaining client and server side Web Services (REST)
* Minimum 2 years use of the Struts framework
* Strong practical knowledge of XML and XSLT
* Strong Web interface and website development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery
* Experience of Java development using the Eclipse IDE suite of tools
* Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated tools such as SVN or Git
* Good working knowledge of SQL
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
* Business Rules experience for example, Drools/JBoss Rules/JRules
* Experience of Apache 2 Web Server administration
* Experience of Linux server administration
* Ability to plan and estimate tasks
* Experience of ANT for building/deploying Java applications

Desirable
* Experience of Apache HSSF Java toolkit for Excel
* Experience of using JUnit
* Experience of developing iPhone Solutions
* Product Configurator experience

UMBRACO DEVELOPER 2 – 4 week projects Ref: WD11

We are looking for a proven Umbraco developer who can deliver Umbraco solutions within short timeframes - projects typically last between 2 - 4 weeks.

You will be working with an HTML developer, converting their static templates into masterpages and XSLT macros and be responsible for developing any required JavaScript using jQuery. You will be responsible for defining appropriate document types based on the requirements for the site and ensuring that the solution is usable and meets the client's requirements. You will have the following skills:

* Umbraco 4.0.3
* XSLT
* jQuery 1.4
* HTML/CSS/JavaScript
* C#/ASP.NET
