Account Manager/Business Developer

Account Manager/Business Developer is required for a marketing communications agency, who offer a wide ranging scope of services to businesses throughout the UK. Their client base is a mix of Public Sector Organisations / Blue-Chip Corporations and small to medium enterprises. The sales ratio will be approx 70% existing clients and 30% new business. They need a persuasive, enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager, with a committed, can-do attitude. You will be responsible for managing our existing customer’s accounts across marketing, communication, interactive media and websites and following up some of our new customer sales opportunities that are generated by our outsourced telemarketing function. You will be delivering the company’s capability pitch, assessing the client requirements; devising and presenting their solution; negotiating the terms and costs, closing the deal and handing over the account to our Projects Executive.
The successful candidate will need to:
• Demonstrate proven success in account management and a good understanding of the consultative’ sales process
• Have minimum 2 years previous sales/account management experience, within a marketing agency
environment
• Possess strong business acumen, be commercially aware and have the ability to sell into multiple business sectors
• Be a strong, confident and influential communicator and possess outstanding relationship building skills
• Be able to present solution based projects, negotiate and sell to board level personnel, using a consultative approach
• Be able to generate and negotiate new income for the company to agreed monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
