An established web design and development agency is looking for a talented and enthusiastic web developer with a passion for developing to best practices in PHP, MySQL, Apache, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Working as part of a team you will be building and maintaining a range of web sites, from interface development utilising web standards and JavaScript to database driven bespoke web sites and Apache server configuration and maintenance.
You will be directly involved with the specification and build of new web sites, helping to analyse requirements and ensure a consistently high standard of delivery as well as trouble shooting and issue resolution. The role will also involve direct client communication including working and delivering to agreed project timescales.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for the web and have a passion to learn.
Required experience:
Hands-on production programming and development experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, jQuery/JavaScript, ideally with some experience using a framework such as Zend, Symfony or Codeignitor.
Good HTML, CSS, XHTML and XML skills.
Familiarity with browser compatibility issues and fixes.
Experience with both object oriented and procedural PHP.
Understanding of coding methods, best practice and knowledge of source control such as Subversion.
Excellent organisational skills, ability to tightly manage time and project responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills
